Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DXF Viewer website at dxfviewer.app, the DXF Viewer browser extension and the DXF Viewer Pro subscription (together, the "Service"). Please read them carefully. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. General

DXF Viewer ("we", "us", "our") operates the Service. The Service lets you open and inspect DXF and DWG drawing files directly in your web browser.

Paid subscriptions ("DXF Viewer Pro") are sold by our merchant of record (the payment platform operator), address is provided on the checkout page and on your receipt (the "Merchant"), acting as merchant of record. The Merchant is the seller of record for your purchase: it processes your payment, issues receipts, collects any applicable taxes and handles refunds in accordance with our Refund Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase a subscription. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service and ownership

2.1 What the Service does

The Service renders DXF and DWG files in your browser and provides tools such as layer control, measurements, zoom and pan, and export to PNG and PDF. Your files are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers (see section 5).

2.2 Your content

You keep all rights to the drawings and other files you open with the Service. We do not claim any ownership of them, and because they are processed locally we do not receive copies of them.

2.3 Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, logos and the DXF Viewer name, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted.

2.4 Changes to the Service

We work on the Service continuously and may add, change or remove features, or set reasonable usage limits, at any time. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.

2.5 Accounts

A Pro subscription is linked to the email address you use at checkout. Keep access to that email secure; you are responsible for activity under your subscription. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms are being violated.

3. Plans, billing and auto-renewal

3.1 Free plan

In the United States, the free plan includes 5 file opens; a Pro plan unlocks unlimited opens. Outside the United States the Service is, at launch, free to use without a file-open limit. We may introduce or adjust limits for a region in the future; any such change will be shown in the viewer before it applies to you.

3.2 DXF Viewer Pro

DXF Viewer Pro is offered as a monthly plan at US$4.99 per month or a yearly plan at US$29 per year. Both plans include unlimited file opens and all viewer features. Prices are stated in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes, which are calculated and shown at checkout.

3.3 Billing cycle and automatic renewal

DXF Viewer Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Your billing cycle starts on the day of purchase. At the end of each cycle (one month or one year, depending on your plan) the subscription renews automatically for the same period, and the payment method you provided is charged the then-current price by the Merchant, unless you cancel before the renewal date.

3.4 Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. Click Restore purchases / Manage subscription in the viewer footer to open the customer portal and cancel there, or email us at support@dxfviewer.app. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Except as described in our Refund Policy or required by law, no partial refunds are given for the unused remainder of a billing period.

3.5 Price changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. If the price of your plan changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect for your next renewal. If you do not agree to the new price, you can cancel before the renewal date; otherwise the new price applies from that renewal onwards.

3.6 Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, the Merchant may retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected, your Pro access may be suspended until the balance is settled, after which the free plan applies.

4. Refunds

Renewal payments are not covered by the guarantee unless required by applicable law, but we review every request individually (for example, if you were charged after cancelling). Full details, including processing times, are in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5. Data and privacy

DXF Viewer processes your drawings locally in your browser. Your files are not uploaded to, stored on or inspected by our servers, on either the free or the Pro plan.

To provide the Pro subscription, a limited set of account data (your email address, country and subscription status) is processed by us and by the Merchant's payment platform. Card details are entered directly with the payment processor and never reach our servers. Our use of analytics, cookies and local storage is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law;
• copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works of the Service's software, except where the law expressly permits it;
• circumvent or attempt to circumvent the free-plan limit, the paywall or any access control;
• share, resell or sublicense your subscription, or use one subscription across an organisation without our agreement;
• interfere with the operation or security of the Service, or access it by automated means that place unreasonable load on it;
• remove or obscure any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice.

We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of this section, without refund where the violation is serious.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every drawing will render exactly as it would in the software that created it. DXF Viewer is a viewing tool: always verify critical dimensions and details against the original CAD data before relying on them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and the Merchant will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including statutory consumer rights in your country of residence.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country of incorporation of the merchant of record, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and nothing here takes those away.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its "last updated" date. If a change is material, we will notify you by email (if you have a Pro subscription) or with a notice in the viewer before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
